- Students must be punctual and adhere to the College / Clinical timings
- Dress code & I card is compulsory for all the students in clinical / institute except Saturday (students attending clinical on Saturday, dress code compulsory)
- Attendance and participation is compulsory for all programs organized by the institute / society.
- Students should see the notice board daily and keep themselves well informed about various notice that may be put up from time to time.
- As per law, use of cell phone (mobile)in the campus/clinical strictly prohibited.
- Abusive language with teachers is a crime. Offenders shall face legal action.
- Any sort of misconduct in boarding / clinical / institute, the student shall face action
- Consumption of alcohol, smoking, chewing any form of tobacco strictly prohibited in the boarding / clinical / institute. Offenders are liable to face legal action.
- Ragging strictly prohibited. Depending upon nature and gravity of the offence as established by anti-ragging committee of institution, the possible punishment shall be suspension from attending classes.
As per Anti-ragging Laws of India, the institute has constituted Anti-ragging Squad under Anti-ragging Committee. The members of Committee are regularly convened for meeting to discuss the menace of Ragging and its measures to curb the same. To create awareness among nursing students, the Anti-ragging Committee has displayed the boards containing Anti-ragging Laws and its measures along with list of Anti-ragging Squad (with Helpline numbers) and Drop Box. In case of ragging, if any, the students can immediately communicate with the Anti-ragging Squad for further action
Ragging is totally prohibited in Dr. Shivajirao Ghogare Institute Of Nursing, Dharashiv and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force. As per UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009, Ragging constitutes one or more of any of following acts:
- Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.
- Indulging in rowdy or indiscipline activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.
- Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame, or torment or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of such fresher or any other student.
- Any act by senior student that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activity of any other student or a fresher.
- Exploiting the service of a fresher or any other student for completing the academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.
- Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure burden put on a fresher or any other student by students.
- Any act of physical abuse including all variants of it: sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health or person.
- Any act or abuse by spoken words, email, post, public insults which would also include deriving perverted pleasure, vicarious or sadistic thrill from activity or passively participating in the discomfiture to fresher or any other student.
- Any act that affects the mental health and self-confidence of a fresher or any other student with or without intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, authority or superiority by a student over any fresher or any other student.
The institute has Grievances Red-ressal Committee. The information displayed on boards along with list of Red-ressal Committee (with Helpline numbers) and Drop Box. In case of Grievances, the Grievances Red-ressal Committee shall receive and redress grievances of following issue –
- Amission procedures
- Academic issues: pertaining to teaching learning activities
- Student-staff, student-student relationship pertaining to harassment etc.
- Internal examination system: test, midterm/pre-final exam etc.
- Internal evaluation system: test, assignment, reports etc.
- Complaint related to library services.
- Grievances related to hostel, food, water, electricity etc.
- Grievance related to transport facilities.
- Grievances related to sports, cultural and selection process etc.
- Grievances related to university examination.
